LPSolve Community

The LPSolve Community is a place to find additional information about linear programming, practical tips and tricks for using LPSolve, and guidance on getting the most value from the formulations you create.

Because LPSolve is not limited to any single species or class of animals, it can be used to formulate least-cost rations for virtually any category. The only essential requirement is a defined set of nutrient requirements for the animals being fed. Once those requirements are established, formulation simply requires ingredient definitions, nutrient composition, and ingredient prices.

As a result, the LPSolve user community is diverse. Users include those working with young calves, adult ruminants, and even monogastric species. This diversity makes the community a valuable resource for learning how others approach formulation challenges across different production systems.
