Adding a Note

Adding a note is a convenient way to document information related to your simulation. Notes can be created at any time and become part of the project’s documentation.

To add a new note:

  1. Open the Notes window.
  2. Select Add Note.
  3. Enter a title and author, if desired.
  4. Type the note using the built-in rich-text editor.
  5. Save the note.

The new note is immediately added to the project’s note collection.

Formatting notes

The editor supports standard rich-text formatting, including:

  • Bold
  • Italic
  • Underline
  • Strikeout
  • Font selection
  • Text color
  • Background highlighting

Formatting can be used to organize longer notes or emphasize important information.

What should I record?

Useful notes often include:

  • Why particular simulation settings were selected.
  • Sources of input data.
  • Assumptions used in the analysis.
  • Observations made while interpreting the results.
  • References to published literature.
  • Planned changes for future simulations.

Although notes are optional, they can greatly improve the usefulness and reproducibility of a project.
