Print and Print Preview
CMC provides both Print Preview and Print commands to produce a report of the current simulation. Reports are designed to summarize the simulation inputs, selected model options, and the resulting output in a format suitable for documentation, presentations, or publication.
Print Preview
The Print Preview command displays the report exactly as it will appear when printed. This allows you to review the report before sending it to a printer.
Print Preview is useful for:
- Verifying that the correct project is open.
- Reviewing simulation settings.
- Confirming charts and tables appear as expected.
- Checking page layout before printing.
No changes are made to the project when viewing the report.
Printing
The Print command sends the report directly to your selected printer.
Reports typically include:
- Project information
- Simulation settings
- Selected prediction model
- Summary statistics
- Graphs and histograms
- Other information relevant to the current analysis
If a Random Seed was used during the simulation, the seed value is also included in the report. This allows the simulation to be reproduced exactly at a later date.
Report contents
The printed report is intended to provide a concise summary of the simulation rather than every calculation performed by CMC.
For users requiring detailed results for every simulated calf, the Data Dump feature provides a complete export of the simulation output.
